PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a structure capable of absorbing relative displacement of a vehicle base 17 and a vehicle body 7 without displacing an intermediate shaft 4a, reducing a penetration hole formed on a front panel 19 of the vehicle body 7, and smoothly performing absorption of the relative displacement. SOLUTION: An input shaft 9a of a steering gear unit 5a is made to an expansion/contraction shaft formed by combining an outer tube 23 and an inner shaft 22 so as to be capable of performing transmission of rotation force and performing relative displacement in an axial direction. A rear end part of the outer tube 23 positioned at an upper side is bonded to a front end part of the intermediate shaft 4a through a universal joint 8b. Even if the vehicle base 17 and the vehicle body 7 are relatively displaced in a vertical direction, the displacement absorbs by expansion/contraction of the input shaft 9a, and the intermediate shaft 4a is not pivoted/displaced, thereby, the above problem can be solved.
