PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method and device for waterproof test of in-car ETC system for two-wheel vehicles so as to solve the problem wherein the conventional waterproof test, in which a tester and reference instrument have been included into each of two highly-airtight chambers, are pressurized and compared with the reference instrument, takes a time to depressurize inside the chamber and return it to its steady state, and can not provide an efficient testing. SOLUTION: In this method, a hole for vacuum pumping is made on a case of the testing apparatus, air suction cable from the vacuum pump is connected with this hole, allowing depressurization. Then temporal change of the depressurization is measured to conduct testing, and then testing is efficiently achieved without requiring in-chamber depressurization, etc. after completion of testing.
