<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grab door attachment knee air bag device sufficiently receiving entry of the knee of an occupant at front end collision of a vehicle and having a light weight member substituted for an air bag case. <P>SOLUTION: The grab door attachment knee air bag device 10 has: the grab door 11 having a grab door inner 13 and a grab door outer 12 and having a space part 14 for storing an air bag module at the inside; an air bag door 15 fixed to the grab door outer 12; the air bag module 16 having a retainer 18 and a flexible sheet 19; and an opening part 13a on the grab door inner 13. The retainer 18 is a member made of metal and is laid on the opening part 13a of the grab door inner 13 in a left/right direction. Both end parts in the left/right direction of the retainer 18 are fastened to the grab door 11, hook members 21 are mounted to both upper and lower end parts of the flexible sheet 19, and the hook member 21 is engaged with the air bag door 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
