PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress output image shading that is caused by difference in the delay amount of a ramp signal of each column. SOLUTION: A pixel portion 10 having a plurality of pixels 11 arranged in N rows, M columns outputs pixel signals to M row signal lines L2 corresponding to each column. A latch circuit 81 latches values counted by a counter 70 as the digital pixel signals with predetermined bits until a voltage level of the ramp signal reaches that of the pixel signal. A control portion 300 in which the pixel signals with predetermined bits are inputted carries out correction for reducing fluctuations of the pixel signals of each column that are caused after A/D conversion thereof is carried out on the basis of a difference in the delay amount of the ramp signal inputted in each comparator 50 due to the wiring length of the ramp signal line L1.
