PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop topology predicting and evading method for operating a communication apparatus such that the loop topology is actively evaded in the initial stage of a network failure on the basis of control from a remotely positioned management apparatus, and to provide the management apparatus, the communication apparatus, and a program. SOLUTION: In the method, the communication apparatus resets (=1) a present blocking port order K. First, the management apparatus cyclically transmits ETH-CCM including a port blocking order for blocking a port for each port of the communication apparatus. When the communication apparatus does not receive a communication confirmation message at the cycle interval, when the communication confirmation message is received at least once during a first prescribed time period, occurrence of a loop topology failure is decided. Then, when there is the port having the port blocking order matched with the present blocking port order K, the communication apparatus blocks the port.
