A routing device and a method thereof using an adjacent node in wireless sensor network are provided to improve a throughput by each node by determining next sensor node transmitting data according to a target node. An adjacent node decision unit(610) determines adjacent node among nodes. A transmit unit(650) directly transmits data to the adjacent node connected to the destination node. A hop number comparator(640) compares a hop count required for a hierarchical routing mode and a hop count required for the hierarchical routing mode after the direct transmission.
