PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a main object is excluded from a photographing range, it is difficult heretofore to frame the main object again. SOLUTION: A camera includes: an imaging part for imaging an object through a photographing optical system; an object setting part for setting the coordinates of the main object with a photographing range imaged by the imaging part as reference; a posture detecting part for detecting the posture of a camera body; a coordinates updating part for updating the coordinates of the main object in accordance with a detection result of the posture detecting part; a photographing range determining part for determining whether to exceed a threshold for determining whether the coordinates of the main object are within the photographing range; and a display control part for displaying information indicating the position of the main object outside the photographing range when the photographing range determining part determines that the threshold is exceeded.
