A firmware upgrading method using the digital broadcasting is provided to upgrade the downloaded latest firmware information automatically and notify a viewer of it. A firmware upgrading method using the digital broadcasting comprises the following steps of: reproducing an advertisement signal during the digital multimedia broadcasting; downloading/storing the latest firmware information from the advertisement signal when a product code of a corresponding company is loaded in the advertisement signal(S213); and automatically updating the stored firmware information by executing it when a power off signal is inputted(S219). |
