PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition comprising a styrenic copolymer and a norbornene type polymer and having superior compatibility not showing a phase separation, and further allowing easy film formation, and to provide an optical film comprising essentially the resin composition and having excellent transparency, a stretched film showing superior transparency and a reverse wavelength dispersion and its applications. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains (A) a styrenic copolymer having a structural unit (1) represented by formula (1), a structural unit (2) represented by formula (2) and a structural unit (3) represented by formula (3) and (B) a norbornene type polymer.
