<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fibers for reinforcing a rubber, which maintain the original characteristics of a fiber material including aromatic polyamide fibers and have improved adhesiveness to the rubber not only at a room temperature but also in a high temperature atmosphere, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fibers for reinforcing rubber is prepared by imparting an adhesive for rubbers/fibers to the surface of a fiber material containing aromatic polyamide fibers, and has the presence of carbon black having a particle diameter of 60 to 600 nm in the adhesive component. The carbon black is preferably furnace black, and the fiber material preferably contains aliphatic polyamide fibers. The method for producing the fibers includes imparting the adhesive for the rubbers/fibers, containing the carbon black having a particle diameter of 60 to 600 nm to the surface of the fiber material, and then drying the adhesive. The adhesive is preferably a recorcinol-formalin-latex based adhesive, and the pH of the carbon black aqueous dispersion to be added is preferably 7 to 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
