PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger, capable of suitably preventing boiling of hot water present in the inner part by suppressing, of a plurality of coil-like tube parts formed by arranging transfer tubes in an overlap winding manner, the coil-like tube part closer to the inner circumference is heated to a temperature considerably higher than the coil-like tube part closer to the outer circumference. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger HE includes a cylindrical or substantially cylindrical baffle 5 disposed in a space part 3 inside an innermost circumferential coil-like tube part 4A of a plurality of coil-like tube parts 4A formed by arranging heat transfer tubes 4 in an overlap winding manner so as to face the inner circumferential surface of the innermost circumferential coil-like tube part 4A, and adapted so that a heating medium can be supplied to an inner area thereof; and a slit 50 provided on the baffle 5 to extend substantially in parallel to a clearance 31 of the innermost circumferential coil-like tube part 4A while facing the clearance 31, and adapted so that the heating medium supplied to the inner area of the baffle 5 can be advanced to the clearance 31.
