A reverse shift apparatus of manual transmission is provided to prevent eccentricity of the reverse idler shaft by fixing pivotally both terminals of the reverse idler shaft tot a transmission case and a clutch housing. The reverse idler shaft(400) supports pivotally the reverse idler gear(100). The inner surface of both side terminal are inserted in support grooves(210,310) which are formed in the transmission case(200) and clutch housing(300). The supporting part(220) is extended and formed in the inside upper end of the transmission case. The support groove is formed in the side of the supporting part. The buffer member(500) is equipped inside the support groove. The oil recovery passage(640) is tilted from the circumferential surface of the reverse idler shaft to the oil path(610).
