PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of spoilage on the occasion when a minimum ink film thickness needed in printing is formed on an ink roller group. SOLUTION: In a web rotary press, a main machine is operated in a state wherein paper feed is stopped with paper left as it is (points t5-t9), after an impression plate is set. In the course of this operation of the main machine, the opening of all ink fountain keys is made 50% and the amount of rotation of an ink fountain roller 50%, and then an ink ductor is made to conduct a leading operation by a set number of times (e.g. 5 times). Thereby a minimum ink film thickness needed in printing is formed on an ink roller group. |
