The method involves producing a mixture consisting of particles with porous calcium-silicate-hydrate-matrix, hydraulically hardened cement and a volume of water that is adequate for saturation of suction capacity of the particles and for hydration of the cement. The mixture is pressed into a mold under a pressure of 3 to 25 Newton/millimeter square, and the pressed mixture is allowed to harden, where the mixture exhibits an effective water-cement-ratio of 0.35 to 0.60. The mixture is exposed with a vibration of 30 to 200 hertz during pressing. An independent claim is also included for a cement-bound brick with a microstructure of particles bound in a hydraulically hardened cement matrix.
