A remote communication endpoint is provided to verify whether a media waveform encoded by a first remote communication endpoint is satisfactorily received by a second remote communication endpoint. A transmitter interface(202) transmits a first packet stream transferring a first media waveform to a second remote communication endpoint. A receiver interface(201) receives a second packet stream of data representing a second media waveform from the second remote communication endpoint. A processor(203) compares the first media waveform with the second media waveform according to a predetermined property and adjusts a value of first quality display based on a comparison result.
