A step apparatus using a rear guard of a truck is used like stairs because a rear guard protrudes rearwards when opening a rear deck gate. A step apparatus using a rear guard of a truck comprises a gear mechanism which is combined in a rear deck gate(11) and permitted to rotate, and a rear guard(15) which is delivered with the torque of the gear mechanism and moves back and forth. The rear deck gate turns by a medium of a hinge(12). The gear mechanism includes a hinge gear(13) connected to the hinge, a first transmission gear(14) engaged in the hinge gear, and a second transmission gear(16) which is connected to the first transmission gear with a power delivery belt(17).
