A device and a method for converting color of a 3D(Dimensional) image based on user preference are provided to convert the color of a 3D object displayed in a 3D image by considering information of favorite colors of the user. A 3D object region determiner(210) determines a region for displaying a 3D object in an input image. A color gamut determiner(220) determines whether color of a pixel comprising the determined region is included in color gamut. A user preference information receiver(230) receives user preference information related to the input image. A color converter(240) converts the color of the pixel into output color based on the user preference information when the color is included in the color gamut.
