PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth a voltage supported by a capacitor while reducing loss by suppressing a higher harmonic wave of an input current while avoiding an increase in costs. SOLUTION: A first single-phase pulse-width modulation converter 21 outputs a first modulated current ic1 by executing first pulse-width modulation to a first AC current ia. A second single-phase pulse-width modulation converter 22 outputs a second modulated current ic2 by executing second pulse-width modulation to a second AC current ib. An output current ic is output by synthesizing the first modulated current ic1 with the second modulated current ic2. The output current ic is supplied to a circuit 7 in which a capacitor 5 and a load 6 are connected in parallel.
