PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image formation uniformly by making potential by electrification of a photoreceptor stable when starting rotation of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus performs control to actuate an electrifying pole 2 while actuating an optical destaticizing part L1 when starting the rotation of the photoreceptor 1, and to stop the photoreceptor 1 after rotating it once or more while actuating the electrifying electrode 2 without actuating the optical destaticizing part L1 after finishing the image formation.
