PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail clearance measuring device which is improved in measuring efficiency and advantageous in reduction of a burden of workers. SOLUTION: The tail clearance measuring device 30 is composed of camera sections 32 and a computer 34. Each camera section 32 photographs an internal peripheral surface 1402 of a tail portion 14 and an external peripheral surface 2002 of a segment 20 opposed to the internal peripheral surface 1402 to generate image data. The four camera sections 32 are set in order to photograph four locations of the internal peripheral surface 1402 of the tail portion 14 and the external peripheral surface 2002 of the segment 20 at circumferentially 90-degree intervals. The computer 34 derives a tail clearance between the internal peripheral surface 1402 of a skin plate 14A of the tail portion 14 and the external wall surface 2002 of the segment 20, based on the image data supplied from the camera sections 32 via cables.
