PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusion junction structure in a bulb and its manufacturing method, capable of obtaining stable and high-intensity welding strength, and realizing reduction of deformation defects, welding strength shortage or failure, and welding hole opening failure. SOLUTION: For the fusion junction structure of a conductive member 5 made of a high-melting-point metal and a metal foil 6 in a bulb, the high-melting-point metal 5 of the conductive member and the metal foil 6 are fused in an area in which the metal foil 6 is superposed on the surface of the conductive member 5 made of the high-melting-point metal, and the high-melting-point metal 5 of the conductive member covers a peripheral edge of the opening formed on the surface of the metal foil 6. Further, in the method for manufacturing the fusion junction structure in a bulb, laser light with an energy of 40MW/cm<SP>2</SP>or more is irradiated by a fiber laser device from a side of the metal foil 6 on the area in which the metal foil 6 is superposed on the surface of the conductive member 5 of the high-melting-point metal to joint the conductive member 5 and the metal foil 6.
