PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling mineral powder deposition prevention method and a storage device provided with a falling object deposition prevention mechanism preventing a falling mineral powder from being deposited on a device below a belt conveyor. SOLUTION: The falling object deposition prevention method prevents the particulate matter dropped off from the belt conveyor from being deposited on the device arranged just below the belt conveyor for conveying the particulate matter and storing the particulate matter. An opening part is provided on a top plate of the device, a plurality of inverted slant plates are provided on the opening part with an interval, so as to be orthogonal to an advancement direction of the belt conveyor, and a rubber plate is hung down from an upper end part of the slant plate in a curtain-like form so as to close the interval between the slant plates.
