<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a method for assembling a tower since there are cases where it is difficult to transport preassembled towers to construction sites due to height of known wind power turbine towers and thus some of the known wind power turbine towers are assembled from some tower components at the construction sites. <P>SOLUTION: The tower 10 comprises a first end 24, a second end part 26, and a shell 16 extending between the first and the second end parts. The shell includes at least one tower segment 22. The tower segment 22 includes an inner surface 30 that defines a first cross-sectional area of the tower segment and a second cross-sectional area of the tower segment that is different from the first cross-sectional area. The tower includes a platform 100.
