PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted crystal device which improves productivity by preventing a metal cover from protruding. SOLUTION: In the surface-mounted crystal device includes: at least a crystal piece 2 housed in a recessed container body 1 having a rectangular shape in plane view, including a bottom wall 1a and a frame wall 1b made of laminated ceramics; a metal film 6 surrounding the end face of an opening provided at the end face of the opening of the container body 1; a metal cover 3 smaller than the outer shape of the container body 1 bonded onto the metal film 6 apart from the outer peripheral end of the opening end face with the crystal piece 2 hermetically sealed therein.
