PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a ceramic material covering a heating element with increased thickness, and to extend the service life of a glow plug. SOLUTION: The glow plug includes a glow pin having a tip engaged in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine including an ignitible air-fuel mixture particularly for starting an autoignition internal combustion engine. The glow pin (1) is related to the glow plug including an outer covering (11) completed from the ceramic material and equipped with the heating element (5).
