PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth excavating hammer which has a hammer body consisting of an excavating section and an air tank section, wherein the hammer body allows each of attachments to be attached in common to a peripheral portion of the air tank section, to thereby exerts suitable earth removing function depending on the soil character of the ground to be excavated. SOLUTION: The earth excavating hammer (1) is formed of: the hammer body (10) consisting of the excavating section (2) and the air tank section (3) arranged on a proximal side of the same; and the attachments (4) in a necessary number, that are detachably attachable to the air tank section (3). The excavating section (2) has hammer bits (27, 28) arranged at a distal end thereof, for carrying out reciprocative motion when driven by working fluid, to thereby excavate the ground. One of the attachments (4) is provided with a spiral blade (43) on a peripheral portion thereof, and the other attachment exchangeable for the attachment (4) has a necessary number of flat bars axially arranged on the peripheral portion.
