MAGNETIC HEAD AND MAGNETIC RECORDING APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SAME

A magnetic head and a magnetic recorder adopting the same are provided to increase the intensity of a field by adopting a side sealed having the identical magnetization direction with a main pole. A magnetic head comprises: a main pole(140); a first coil(150) inducing the magnetic field in the main pole in order to emit magnetic field for the magnetic recording through a magnetic recording medium side end part of the main pole; side shields(160,170) located in order to have the identical magnetization direction with the main pole; and a return pole forming a magnetic path along with the main pole. The side shield is magnetically connected to the main pole.
