An energy absorbing system for floating breakwater is provided to maximize the function of breakwater by absorbing the energy of wave regardless of direction through a vibration reducing device composed of a spring and a damper. An energy absorbing system for floating breakwater comprises a fixing device(300) installed on the seafloor, a floating body(100) floating on the sea, a cable(200) one end of which is connected to the fixing device and other is connected to the floating body, and a vibration reducing unit(400) composed of a spring(410) and a damper(420) inserted in the cable.
