PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by securing shape as a character and a thin line even in image recording by curable type ink. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes; a recording head; a radiating section for radiating an active energy beam to the curable type ink discharged by the recording head; a scanning section for making the recording head and the radiating section scan on a recording medium in a main scanning direction; a conveying section for conveying the recording medium in a subscanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction; and a control section for controlling the recording head, the radiating section, the scanning section and the conveying section based on image data. The control section adjusts ink discharge amount of the recording head or radiation standby time of the radiating section based on the kind of the recording medium, and also discriminates character part data or line data from the image data, determines a pixel that is an end from the character part data or the line data, and controls the recording head so that the ink discharge processing to a pixel part that is the end may be varied based on at least either the ink discharge amount or the radiation standby time.
