<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball spline which allows the increase in torque capacity without increasing an axial diameter. <P>SOLUTION: Main passages 18 of a ball circulation passage for a spline are formed by including: on the outer periphery of a screw shaft 1, shoulder portions 21, 22, 23 interposing a spline groove 7 of the screw shaft 1 from both sides in a circumferential direction; and on the outer tube 3 for a spline, shoulder portions 24, 25, 26 interposing a spline groove 7 of an outer tube 3 for a spline from both sides in a circumferential direction. Clearances in the rotating direction are formed between respective shoulder portions 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and ball 5 for a spline.
