PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate molding by increasing dimensional tolerance required for a nut member. SOLUTION: A position adjustment type steering device is provided with: an advancement/retreating rod 71 adjusting a position of a steering wheel 2 by axial advancement/retreating as an electric telescopic mechanism 70; the nut member 72 thread-engaged with an outer peripheral surface of the advancement/retreating rod 71; bearings 82, 83 for retaining the nut member 72 in the rotatable state; and an electric motor 73 engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the nut member 72 and rotating/driving the nut member 72. A non-contact surface 72b becoming in the non-contact state with a predetermined gap relative to the bearings 82, 83 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the nut member 72 press-fitted to the bearings 82, 83 along an axial direction.
