<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block which has a simple constitution and an enhanced rigidity, includes a liner and a water jacket of closed deck structure, and which can easily and inexpensively be molded. <P>SOLUTION: The cylinder block 1 comprises a liner L disposed on the inner peripheral surface of a bore H, and a water jacket WJ disposed on the radial outer side of the liner. A hollow part 21 which can constitute the water jacket WJ is integrally formed at one or both ends of a liner part 20 forming the liner L by bending the end part of a cylindrical member 2 so as to fold back.
