PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic violation annunciator for preventing aimless driving, and for enabling a driver to facilitate proper countermeasures to traffic violation. SOLUTION: In this traffic violation annunciator, the front part of a vehicle is photographed by a camera 10, and the type of traffic regulation information such as a restricted speed displayed by the photographed traffic sign is recognized (S12). Then, whether or not a vehicle is violating traffic regulations is determined on the basis of the traffic regulation control (S13). Then, when it is determined that the vehicle is traveling beyond a speed limit by 30 km/h in the S13, the information and the information related with penal regulations to be imposed are set as display content (S14). Then, the information is displayed at a display 31 in S15. When the vehicle is violating traffic regulations, the information related with the traffic violation is communicated to the driver in detail, so that it is attainable to prevent aimless driving by using the traffic violation annunciator 1.
