The device i.e. sun protective roller blind, has a protection element i.e. sliding material (4), which moves between a protection position and another position using an adjustment device (8). The adjustment device has actuators (9, 10) with a shape memory element (11) i.e. spring element, which is partially formed from a shape memory alloy and a shape-memory polymer e.g. organic shape-memory polymer. The memory element is coupled with a resetting element (12) i.e. return spring. The actuators are coupled with a winding shaft (5) or a sliding bar (6) arranged at an end (7) of the material.
