PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drying apparatus capable of preventing scattering of droplets and retaining the surface of the suction nozzle clean by sucking the droplets attached to hands by a suction nozzle in the hand drying apparatus for use in a washroom or a toilet or the like. SOLUTION: This hand drying apparatus 1 has suction means 2 provided in the inside of a main body, an air duct 3 connected to the suction means 2, the suction nozzle 4 connected to the air duct 3, a movable cover 5 capable of storing the suction nozzle 4 and cleaning means 6 provided inside the movable cover 5, wherein the suction nozzle 4 sucks the droplets attached to the surface of the hands by operating the suction means 2 to suppress the scattering of the droplets, the suction nozzle is stored in the movable cover 5 after the use to be shut off from the outside air, and the cleaning means 6 can retain the surface of the suction nozzle 4 clean.
