Provided are compositions comprising alcohol taste enhancing ingredients for use in alcoholic beverages, and taste-enhanced alcoholic beverages comprising said ingredients. The alcohol enhancers are polygodial, and warburganal, or extracts comprising these compounds, which when combined with alcohol (ethanol) enhance its intensity and mimic its duration and onset.
