PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which enables a user to recognize a setting state or the like by an output voice. SOLUTION: When a condition different from initial setting is set to a camera 1 with respect to a photographic mode or each photographic condition, a corresponding icon or the like is displayed on a display monitor 7. Upon depression of a setting confirmation button 9c, a voice based on contents displayed on the display monitor 7 by the icon or the like is output. When each photographic condition is set to the camera 1, a present state of the camera 1, such as a stage of setting operation of the photographic condition, is displayed on the display monitor 7.
