PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for the continuous casting of metals, especially a beam blank type mold, capable of sufficiently coupling a thin-walled mold plate to an adapter plate at the top regions and the base regions thereof with no special problems. SOLUTION: The liquid-cooled mold for the continuous casting of metals includes the mold plate 2 made of copper or a copper alloy and the adapter plate 3, on which the mold plates 2 are fixed via fastening bolts 12. The mold plates 2 are coupled to the adapter plates 3 via sheet metal holders 19 arranged at the top regions and the base regions 20, 21 thereof, in addition to the fastening bolts 12.
