Hydrolysis resistant, equipped filaments, method for their manufacture and application thereof

Fiber comprises at least 80 wt.%, based on the mass or the fiber forming polymers, of one or more thermoplastic, elastomeric polyesters and a carbodiimide with a molecular weight of at least 2000 g/mol. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing the fiber, comprising: (i) mixing the thermoplastic, elastomeric polyester and the carbodiimide polymer in an extruder; (ii) extruding the mixture through spinning nozzle; (iii) removing the formed filaments; (iv) optionally stretching and/or relaxing the formed filaments; and (v) reeling the formed filaments.
