<p>Solid epoxy resin-modified carboxy-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymers (I) (optionally having converted terminal epoxy groups) are new. Modified butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymers of formula (I) are new. R 1>divalent residue of a carboxy-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer (CTBN) after removal of the terminal carboxy groups; R 2>, R 3>divalent residue of a solid epoxy resin after removal of the terminal glycidyl ether groups; R 4>alkylaryl; a monocyclic, polycyclic or fused aromatic residue (optionally containing phenolic OH groups(s) if m= 0); or -CO-R 9>; R 9>as for R 4>, excluding -COR9; R 5>H or Me; m, n : 0-2, provided that (m + n)= 2. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) compositions (A) containing (a) at least one polymer (I), (b) at least one solid epoxy resin (II) and (c) at least one epoxy resin hardener (III).
