The lock (1) has a case (2) for receiving a key barrel (4) for controlling locking and unlocking of a locking member (5) e.g. dead bolt. A safety device (6) maintains the locking member in the locked position under the control of a control sensor (8) cooperating with the barrel. The sensor supports on the barrel across a contact point on each side of a median plane of the lock so as to ensure inactive maintenance of a locking finger (7) in the presence of barrel and to release the finger during the rupture or removal of barrel.
