A strip-shaped or plate-shaped composite metal object (10) and a method for the production thereof are described. The composite metal object (10) comprises at least two layers (12, 14) of the same metal. Said layers have been brought by a heat pretreatment to a temperature such that a mutual diffusion bond has resulted through subsequent pressing of the layers (12, 14) against one another, while reducing the thickness by 5 to 25% and preferably 8 to 15%. A layer (14), which on the side thereof facing an adjacent layer (12) is provided with strip-shaped recesses, which are closed by the adjacent layer (12) to form channels (14A, 14B) when the layers are pressed together, is used as one of the layers (12, 14). The channels (14A, 14B) in the composite metal object (10) allow it to be provided with intelligence before it is processed further to form an implement, such as a heating plate or cooling plate, a grilling plate, or a cooking container. The channels (14A, 14B) remain extensively preserved during the production and further processing of the composite model object (10). |
