摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of deriving an accurate dilution ratio, even when diluting a biological sample containing chyle. SOLUTION: This dilution ratio deriving method includes processes for; measuring an absorbance C1 of an indication material in aqueous solution for dilution to light from a light source A; preparing sample liquid for determination by mixing a biological sample containing an optional component to be determined with the aqueous solution for dilution; measuring an absorbance C2 of the indication material in the sample liquid for determination to the light from the light source A; measuring an absorbance C4 of the indication material in the sample liquid for determination to light from a light source B having a wavelength different from the light from the light source A; and determining a blank absorbance C5 of plasma from the absorbance C4 and a wavelength depending characteristic of each light from the light source A and the light source B of the plasma containing chyle in the biological sample, and determining the dilution ratio D<SB>2</SB>of the biological sample from the absorbance C1 and a value determined by subtracting the absorbance C5 from the absorbance C2.
