PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing related to the transmission of radio communication without being affected by fluctuation even in a situation, where a propagation environment fluctuates suddenly. SOLUTION: A radio communication device has: an obtaining section for obtaining information on the variation of a reception level in a prescribed signal interval, when the amplitude of a modulation signal is fixed in a current modulation system; an acquisition section for acquiring information on signal quality according to the reception level indicating a relatively low value in the prescribed signal interval as a result of the acquisition; and a control section for controlling transmission power after the prescribed signal interval, based on the acquired information on signal quality.
