PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an installation method for application software, an installation processing program and a recording medium recording the program, for installing an application software by use of an installer compatible with installation of various kinds of application software. SOLUTION: This information processor 100 having the installer installing the application software has: a holding means 41 holding definition data 31 wherein predetermined information for materializing a function of the installer is defined; an execution means 42 interpreting the definition data 31 held by the holding means 41, and executing predetermined processing for materializing the function of the installer based on the predetermined information obtained by the interpretation; and a control means 43 instructing the execution means 42 to start execution, and controlling the function of the installer.
