The lead battery has at least one thermoplastic strip (2a,2b), which can be welded, holding the electrode stack (1) together. The overlapping ends of the strips are welded in place. The strips run vertically around the electrode stack as bandages from the base (B) over its height (H), to the top of the battery where the positive/negative connections (3a,3b) are located. The strips have a width of 5-50 mm and preferably 20-30 mm. |
