The double stack-railway vehicle (1) has an intermediate stack (3), an upper stack, which lies in a stack floor above the intermediate stack and is accessible through a stair case (5a), and a lower stack (6), which lies in a stack floor below the intermediate stack and is accessible through another staircase (5b). The double stack-railway vehicle has a toilet (8) accessible for handicapped and a parking space (9) for a wheel chair. One of the staircases is provided with a stair lift (10).
