PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective removing method of humin and a polymer used therefor. SOLUTION: A cationic polymer having a cationic monomer formed by bonding a hydrophobic group to a cationic group as a main component, or a cationic polymer which is a copolymer having a cationic monomer and a hydrophobic monomer with a solubility parameter of 7.8-10.5 (cal/cm)<SP>1/2</SP>as a main component, is added to water containing humin to form a compound of humin and cationic polymer.
