BOARD TO BOARD HORIZONTAL MOUNTED CONNECTOR

A board to board connector for interconnecting two horizontal circuit boards includes an insulative connector body with two mating ends in the form of legs that are joined together by a center bridge part. The center bridge part is formed from a plurality of thin members that are arranged in a comb-like fashion with adjacent thin members being separated by intervening slots. One surface of the thin members is plated with a conductive material to define conductive traces on the connector extending between the mating ends thereof. The connector body has an overall M-shape when viewed from an end and the bridge part provides float for the connector in the vertical direction while the thin members provide float for the connector in the horizontal direction.
