PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of efficiently performing addition and alteration of a function in a preset timing. SOLUTION: In an image processing composite device adapted to conduct various kinds of processing by a plurality of function boards, the timing of a version up of the function board is preset, and when the timing has come, the processing for the function board related to the version up is inhibited, and version up is automatically performed. The version up data (data to be updated) is held on a server 14 on a LAN 13 or an external device through a telephone line, for example, and input through a network interface part 7 in the above timing.
